How looking at things afresh can make you calmer, healthier and happier than ever.

Having spent the last three years living in rural Denmark, Helen Russell is moving back to the UK and starting over. And she's a little intimidated. Luckily, studies show that when we start new things we are the best version of ourselves, from new jobs and new relationships, to how we feel about our bodies, money and wellbeing. Using her own life as an experiment, Helen investigates the science of new beginnings, and uncovers the practical life lessons we can all use to thrive when change is afoot - and inject some freshness and magic if it's not.

Industry Reviews
Written in Russell's signature style that fuses honesty with wit, Leap Year is both a heart-warming tale and a useful guide with hints and tips on how to better deal with change ... Leap Year is a charming book that will resonate with readers the world over. * The Literary Edit * If a good hoot with a side order of oh-so-subtle self-help is your cup of tea, Leap Year should replace Lean In in your reading list. -- Anna Hunter * Get the Gloss * Makes some pretty big promises - but with practical life lessons, witty first-hand experiences and no-BS advice, it really does what it says on the tin * Stella * A wonderful and humorous book. I can't remember when I last read a book which made me smile or laugh so often. Highly recommended if you're considering leaping into something new or making a change. -- Meik Wiking It's brilliant stuff -- Steve Wright * BBC Radio 2 *
