    We are building our own home and when we talk to tradesmen, draftsmen, designers, builders, engineers etc and we don't understand something we just look it up in this book. It helped us with the pros and cons of different types of footings, windows, walls, septic tanks and anything to do with building your own home. I cannot recommend it enough.
