To some, Leviathan Chamberlain may seem like an arrogant, cold, ruthless agent for The Griffindale Intelligence Agency, but there is a reason behind it all, and only one member of his close-knit team knows the truth about his dark past while he was a soldier in the Army.
Over the years at the agency, Leviathan has steered clear of one woman in particular, Abigail Sinclair. Not out of fear of her, but the fear of his own dark past and the secret he is desperate to keep hidden from everyone. She has been known to worm her way into a man's life only to destroy it with her beauty and or her father's money and influence. And that is the last thing Leviathan needs in his life after he's gotten back on solid ground.
All that changes after a serial killer suddenly strikes, forcing Leviathan and Abigail to work together to figure out who this killer is and bring them down. But when Leviathan is forced into showing Abigail his dark secret and what his time in the Army and their experiments turned him into, he's terrified she's going to run from him and the strange connection they've built.
He doesn't have much time to think on that, though, when the serial killer sets their sights on Abigail, and he is determined to protect her at all costs.
