'A seductive, high intensity exploration of love, grief and the transformative exhilaration of art'
- Eimear McBride
**'**I read Such Stuff in one sitting . . . totally pulled in by this propulsive, lyrical, generous, moving work. I loved it'
- Monica Heisey
An actor enters a dressing room to prepare for what may well be her final performance. It is her birthday. And the anniversary of her father's death. The play begins in an hour.
While the passions and dramas of her fellow actors play out backstage, she must cast off memories of the day - where's she's been and what she's done - in order to step out of the wreck of her self and become her character.
The year since her father died has taught her that grief - like a role - has a way of seeping across boundaries. As the countdown to the storm on stage ticks on, might this be the place to lose oneself completely?
Gripping and impossible to put down, the emotional force of Such Stuff lingers long after the final line. Resonant and unforgettable, it is an utterly original debut.
