We've all heard that God is in control. But do we live like it?
Most of us carry an image of God that looks something like a retired general watching from a hilltop — powerful, sure, but distant. We sing about His sovereignty on Sunday and spend the rest of the week hauling the weight of our lives on our own shoulders.
Providence dismantles that picture and replaces it with the God the Bible actually describes — a God who's sustaining every atom, sovereign over every circumstance, and working through the details of our lives right now. Close up. On purpose. Relentlessly committed to our good.
Through the stories of Joseph, Esther, David, and Job — and through honest, personal testimony from a life that didn't come with a church, a Bible, or a roadmap — J.C. Wright confronts the half-truths we've believed about how God works and shows what it looks like to rest in a plan we can't see, held by a God who's never let go.
If you've ever stared at the ceiling at 3 a.m. wondering whether God sees you — He does. He always has.
"He upholds the universe by the word of his power." — Hebrews 1:3
