A bioinformatics, Andromeda and an anthropologist, Thor work together in Leipzig and find first a gene for species barrier and later on a distinct gene-cassette for 'intelligence'. So far, it is not really clear, how this genes could enter the human germ line. The novel is not written in a super-fantastic sci-fi style but in a way of a realistic sci-fi. Andromeda is a very special woman in terms of relationships. Maybe she belongs in the remote environment of autism. But finally she found a call-boy Mike and both will find together in a very special flat-sharing community.
