Urban Fantasy - Dark Comedy - Satirical Fantasy
When death becomes paperwork, one mistake can rewrite reality.
Timothy Scott has spent seven years behind Terminal 404, proudly maintaining the fastest response time in the Nether-Office—the vast bureaucratic machine responsible for processing every human death. Rules matter. Forms matter. Metrics matter.
Then one unauthorized shortcut changes everything.
A forbidden override sends veteran field reaper Amy Black into a catastrophic temporal anomaly, trapping an ordinary man inside an impossible loop where death refuses to arrive. What begins as a harmless attempt to protect a perfect performance record quickly unravels into a conspiracy buried beneath centuries of corrupted ledgers, missing souls, and executives willing to erase entire timelines to protect their careers.
Now a rule-obsessed dispatcher, a battle-worn Grim Reaper, and an elderly carpenter forgotten by the system must outrun auditors, survive collapsing reality, and defeat an immortal bureaucracy using the very regulations designed to control them.
Filled with razor-sharp satire, dark humor, retro technology, supernatural bureaucracy, and relentless suspense, Deadlines & Dispatch blends Urban Fantasy, workplace comedy, and speculative fiction into an unforgettable adventure where paperwork can be deadlier than magic—and sometimes the only way to save the world is by filing the right form.
Perfect for readers who enjoy bureaucratic fantasy, supernatural thrillers, dark comedy, alternate realities, and imaginative world-building filled with clever twists and unforgettable characters.
