By now, I’m sure you’re all aware that the 2020 Sydney Writers’ Festival has been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As you can imagine, this is a devastating blow to Australia’s vibrant writing and reading landscape, as well as to the wider arts industry as a whole.
In honour of the Festival’s stellar lineup, we’re putting out a few posts compiling interviews and guest posts on our blog from some of the authors who would have been appearing, as well as reviews from our staff of their books. (We’ll also be reposting some of this content on our social media platforms.)
It’s a lesser substitute for what would have been a truly outstanding festival, but you can have a taste of what could have been and maybe derive some comfort from the words of these incredible authors.
Today’s post is a fiction roundup. Read on, enjoy and stay safe.
