We had the pleasure of having the delightful Hannah Grace come to visit Booktopia HQ this week. The author behind those wonderfully “fluffy comfort books” we all adore! It’s safe to say, our team were buzzing with excitement.

To give you an inside look into Hannah’s world, we gathered some of your burning questions from Instagram and asked her directly. Here’s what she had to say:
Q&A with Hannah Grace:
- We are loving the special collector’s hardback covers! Is there a particular one that’s your favourite?
The WILDFIRE cover with the possum is my favourite because it’s just ever so slightly unhinged as far as romance cover standards go. Yes, of course it’s relevant to the book which was important, but it makes me chuckle every time I see it. It feels like an inside joke between me and my readers and I love that! I’m very thankful that I was allowed to do something a little different than other special editions you see.
2. We’d love to hear more about your writing process. Do you have any rituals or routines?
I try to write first thing in the morning if I can. I don’t have a super fixed routine but I write in sprints of 25 or 45 minutes and only listen to “productivity music”. My favourite Spotify playlist is called “ADHD focus music 2025” and I sometimes use the Lofi Girl playlists.
3. Anything that you’re excited to do or see whilst you’re in Australia?
I love Australia so much and every single time I step off the plane I’m like “hmm, maybe I should move here”. Honestly, I’m mostly planning to eat because you guys have the best food (and I’m pretty well travelled so I feel confident making such a big claim.) I’m heading to Australia Zoo again so that’s very high on my list of things to be excited about, but seeing my S&S Aus team is my genuinely my favourite activity while I’m visiting.
4. What’s one thing our readers might not know about you?
I feel like I’m a huge yapper for someone who simply isn’t that interesting so I doubt there’s much people don’t know that’s worth knowing. Some people don’t know I’m English and think I’m American. Some people also think I’m in my early twenties (which I find surprising because I think I give off a very strong millennial energy) and are shocked when I mention I’m married.
5. What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Write what you want to read and don’t just read what you want to write. You are your first reader so drafting is going to be an absolutely miserable experience if you’re not writing something you would want to read as a customer. On the other side, reading outside of your genre is just as important as reading inside of it. You’ll learn so much from other authors and it’ll make you a better writer.
Whilst Hannah was here she signed her newest special collector’s hardback edition of Wildfire and also signed her backlist! These editions are truly special, featuring an exclusive bonus chapter, sprayed foil edges, and of course, Hannah’s signature. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of Hannah Grace magic! ✨
Wildfire
A special collector’s hardback edition of the beloved bestseller and TikTok sensation. Featuring an exclusive bonus chapter and sprayed foil edges!
“I want everything about you, Aurora … I want to protect you from possums and sharks and, sometimes, when you need it, yourself.”
When Russ Callaghan and Aurora Roberts cross paths at a college party, a drinking game results in a passionate one-night stand. Never one to overstay her welcome (or expect much from a man), Aurora slips away before Russ even has the chance to ask her full name.
Imagine their surprise when they bump into each other on their first day as summer camp counsellors, hoping to escape their complicated home lives for the summer break.
As the summer unfolds, the tension between them intensifies. Russ doesn’t want to risk breaking the camp’s strict "no staff fraternising" rule but, unfortunately for him, Aurora has never been very good at caring about rules. Will the two learn to peacefully co-exist? Or did their one night together start a fire they can’t put out?
Note: Wildfire contains 18+ content and is not suitable for younger readers.
