Coming out of a bad relationship, thirty-year-old August is trying to piece his life back together. It's far from perfect - he has a one-bedroom apartment, he works in a call center, and he can't finish the book he's working on - but it's something to hold onto.
When he meets Julie Hall, he finds she's everything he isn't - confident, dynamic, and purposeful, and that's despite her troubled childhood. She's a whirlwind who disrupts the apathy of August's life, and he begins to feel he can finally be himself.
But Julie has her own secret - one that threatens to unravel August's world, and plummet him right back into the miseries of his past.
Part romcom, part coming-of-age, August Falling is a story about acceptance, taking ownership of your life, and finding a way to move forward, even when moving forward seems impossible.
