About the Author

Charlie Ryrie is a writer, researcher, environmental campaigner and a committed organic grower. She is a regular contributor to gardening magazines including Garden Inspirations and Gardens Illustrated. She has edited and advised on many gardening books, including Heritage Vegetables, The Edible Container Gardenand Urban Eden . Equally passionate about issues ecological, she wrote The Healing Energies of Water and is deputy editor of EcoDesign, the journal of the Ecological Design Association. She contributes features on sustainable living to weekend supplements of The Independent and other UK national newspapers.
