The Basics of Car Control: For those of you who have never sat in the driving seat before, I'm going to start from the very beginning... the car controls.

Then I'll explain, and literally show you, how to pull away, change gear, park and steer. I'll cover each of these essential skills step-by-step and demonstrate exactly what to do and how to do it.

Dealing with Basic Junctions: A basic junction is a T-Junction. It's the simplest way to get from one road into another and forms the basis of all driving skills.

In this section I'll show you how to emerge from and enter side-roads safely and correctly. The simple routine I'll demonstrate will be used for all other junctions you see, no matter how complicated they appear.

Dealing with Roundabouts: Although roundabouts can seem intimidating and often very busy, the way to deal with them effectively is to stick to the basics!

In this section I'll not only explain what I mean by that... I'll show you.

Roundabouts DO NOT have to be scary, in fact after using my simple methods, my own pupils don't see roundabouts any differently to the other simple junctions... and that's how it should be.

Dealing with Traffic Light Controlled junctions: No matter how well a junction was designed, as soon as you put too many cars in the picture it stops working. That is why traffic lights were invented...

They make difficult junctions easy.

In this section I'll prove to you how easy it can be to drive through traffic light controlled junctions... no matter how busy the roads get.

Dealing with Everyday Hazards: Hazard perception is a big part of learning to drive these days. You need to pass your hazard perception test along with your theory test before you can even attempt a practical driving test.

But does passing the 'virtual' test mean you know how to deal with a hazard once you've spotted it?

In this section I'll demonstrate a simple technique for dealing with almost ANY road and traffic hazard effectively... and I'll give you lots of examples.

Dealing with Multiple Lanes and Higher Speeds: Most learners are a little nervous about driving at high speed, and with good reason. Your reactions need to be quick when your car is travelling at 70mph and your nerves need to be steady.

This section shows you what to expect and how to cope with the very different driving experience offered by fast dual-carriageways.

I'll cover slip roads, multiple lane roundabouts and overtaking procedures. I hope to show you that the right preparation and approach to high speed driving can give you the confidence to stay safe and enjoy the experience.

Driving Test Manoeuvres: The final section dispels the myths about those dreaded set piece manoeuvres. You know... The three-point-turn, reversing around corners, parallel parking, bay parking and the emergency stop.

I am so tired of hearing pupils say they 'can't reverse' or 'can't park'. Why not? My guess is they haven't been taught by example, or had the steering technique properly explained to them.
