Trigger point therapy is one of the fastest-growing and most effective pain therapies in the world. Medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists are all beginning to use this technique to relieve patients' formerly undiagnosable muscle and joint pain, both conditions that studies have shown to be the cause of nearly 25 percent of all doctor visits. This book addresses the problem of myofascial trigger points-tiny contraction knots that develop in a muscle when it is injured or overworked. Restricted circulation and lack of oxygen in these points cause referred pain. Massage of the trigger is the safest, most natural, and most effective form of pain therapy. Trigger points create pain throughout the body in predictable patterns characteristic to each muscle, producing discomfort ranging from mild to severe. Trigger point massage increases circulation and oxygenation in the area and often produces instant relief. The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook, Third Edition, has made a huge impact among health professionals and the public alike, becoming an overnight classic in the field of pain relief. This edition includes a new chapter by the now deceased author, Clair Davies' daughter, Amber Davies, who is passionate about continuing her father's legacy. The new edition also includes postural assessments and muscle tests, an illustrated index of symptoms, and clinical technique drawings and descriptions to assist both practitioners and regular readers in assessing and treating trigger points.

Comments about Trigger Point Therapy Workbook:

This book is AMAZING. I had a problem with my arm years ago. Excruciating pain 24/7 for 5 months. Every one I went to for help made the problem worse. In desperation researching on the internet day after day, I came across this book. It changed my life, healed my arm using the techniques 6-8 x daily for 4 months. Little by little, day by day, I began improving ever so slightly. I went from having my left arm unable to lift above my waist, to fully recovered movement in 4 months. And learnt that MANY problems are falsely diagnosed by general doctors and even specialists, because they don't have the ancient knowledge in this book. SO MANY UNNECESSARY surgeries, even after which people still suffer the problem, because the root cause wasn't actually addressed by the surgery. However, when the trigger points are addressed, the issue fully resolves over time, with persistent use of the points.
I have also used this book to fix sciatica within 30 seconds of one treatment. I buy, gift or share about this book with anyone I know who ever tells me about pains that I feel the book might help. You've got to do what it says, but it you do, it will work. BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT book, one that I believe every home needs to have as a staple on there bookshelf.

Comments about Trigger Point Therapy Workbook:

Every doctor should use this book to treat their patients before they hand them a prescription for pain.
This book makes it very easy to find where your pain is in the drawings and then to pinpoint the trigger points that would be responsible for your discomfort. Releasing the trigger points very often can eliminate the need for further treatment. I lend this book out to friends and family all the time.

"As a chiropractor for twelve years and an instructor of trigger point therapy at the Utah College of Massage Therapy for ten years, I found the Davies' book very accurate and complete. The graphics and illustrations make it easy to show patients and clients ways to improve quality of life. I believe the book will be a valuable asset to all health care practitioners who use trigger point therapy." --David B. Thomson, DC, instructor at the Utah College of Massage Therapy
