Ghouls live among us, the same as normal people in every way-except their craving for human flesh. Ken Kaneki is an ordinary college student until a violent encounter turns him into the first half-human half-ghoul hybrid. Trapped between two worlds, he must survive Ghoul turf wars, learn more about Ghoul society and master his new powers.

Shy Ken Kaneki is thrilled to go on a date with the beautiful Rize. But it turns out that she's only interested in his body-eating it, that is. When a morally questionable rescue transforms him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid, Ken is drawn into the dark and violent world of Ghouls, which exists alongside our own.

This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys subtle mysteries to their story. An intricate world full of amusing characters keeps this story feeling fresh (even when the pacing slows down).

Absolutely magnificent, the art is very unique. The story draws you in as well. I have myself, watched the anime, but reading the manga feels so much better, there are even bonus scenes that weren't in the Anime! 10/10 would definitely recommended this to a friend, in fact I finished the book upon receiving it and have already lended it to a friend.

Manga is great with an interesting concept, however what really shines with this series I feel is its incredible artwork, a kind of mix of styles with some excellent full page panels.

Just my favourite manga

I read a lot of manga, I've watched the anime to tokyo ghoul but it took me a while to get the full collection of the manga. The characters are so different, the book doesn't focus of romance, it's more well...logical, with twisted plots. If I found these book earlier I would of been reading them before the Anime
