In her latest book, The Universe Has Your Back, New York Times best-selling author Gabrielle Bernstein teaches readers how to transform their fear into faith in order to live a divinely guided life. Each story and lesson in the book guides readers to release the blocks to what they most long for: happiness, security and clear direction. The lessons help readers relinquish the need to control so they can relax into a sense of certainty and freedom. Readers will learn to stop chasing life and truly live.

Making the shift from fear to faith will give readers a sense of power in a world that all too often makes them feel utterly powerless. When the tragedies of the world seem overwhelming, this book will help guide them back to their true power.

Gabrielle says, 'My commitment with this book is to wake up as many people as possible to their connection to faith and joy. In that connection, we can be guided to our true purpose: to be love and spread love. These words can no longer be cute buzz phrases that we merely post on social media. Rather, these words must be our mission. The happiness, safety, and security we long for lies in our commitment to love.'

When readers follow this path, they'll begin to feel a swell of energy move through them. They will find strength when they are down, synchronicity and support when they're lost, safety in the face of uncertainty, and joy when they are otherwise in pain. Follow the secrets revealed in this book to unleash the presence of your power and know always that The Universe Has Your Back.

This book is written by a very enthusiastic author, she writes that fear is at the heart of why we seem unable to cope with everyday life. It read a bit like The Secret in that we attract what we put out. Gaby also offers meditation techniques and mantras and, of course, links to her online site where another reviewer says you can buy music etc. I have no problem with this, if it aids you on your journey, great. It will appeal more, probably, to female readers as Gaby gives examples from her own life as a young New York female. I lent to my hubby who said this. However, I believe it is a good read if you, like me, are reading all you can on the spiritual journey, I recommend to everyone.

Easy and enjoyable, I read it in just a few days. The exercises are in a different font, and each chapter has a summary at the end, which is brilliant.
Follows the idea that everything that happens to you is your own fault (which is actually very empowering), but in a very different way from 'The Diamond Cutter'. Are they both right? This book doesn't acknowledge karma, or the need to help other people for your own success: the Universe is trying to make us all successful all the time, if you just let it. It reminded me a little of those friends who you try to meet up with and they say they will turn up "If it is Allah's will". Though I was confused at times whether you should just sit back and let the Universe do its thing, or whether you should try to override it with your own desires. She gives an example of how she couldn't get pregnant (and we never find out if she does or not), but then realises she has to write the desire and put it in her "Holy triangle" or "God box" for it to work... I'm sure billions of pregnancies have been conceived without need for this tool - this was too much of a stretch for me.
A fascinating philosophy, much of it I can intuitively relate to, and with the highly useful ways of letting go of judgement etc., incredibly worthwhile so you can control what happens to you by fixing yourself (remove the plank in your own eye before the speck in your brother's eye...). A real eye-opener how clueless I'd been!
The idea is to co-create with the Universe.
It quotes a lot from 'A Course in Miracles'. There end up being quite a lot of prayers and mantras etc. you need to do every day, so it feels quite a bit more derived than eg. Eckhart Tolle.
This book has made me a better person, it's uplifting and I'm glad I read it. You should read it too :)

Fantastic book - really changed the way I view and deal with situations and people.
Could be a little spiritual for some but I feel like most of the lessons and tips are transferable to some sort of faith in the universe be it religious or not.

Read the book, & again & when you feel you've read enough, read it again....

Now replace the word "Read" with "Surrender"

You must remember to use Gabriel's powerful sweet loving voice of truth to survive this entire book, because its about her inner work, her journey, you are going to feel everything that she went through & you are going to realise how hard it was for her yet how easy Gabby makes our issues in our own lives feel. . . the miracle is in you, now do the work in the book.

This book is one of the best books I have ever read. Gabby tells her tale so honestly and makes it very relatable to anyone going through this same journey. I had some amazing synchronicities happen while reading this and made me feel more connected to the universe then I have ever felt.
