Gave me understanding on what Australian indigenous culture was like before European invasion. It was embarrassing and painful to read names of towns around Australia where many lives were lost. It begins from a European Australian point of view before slowly presenting the other side of this frontier. Peace between two sides happened when they understand each other; what they've lost in the struggle, as well as admitting fault and finding forgiveness. If all Australians read this book, maybe we'd be closer to having peace and a real Australia Day.
