This book was a long time coming. As a fan of Fiona Horne's for as long as I can remember I was always wanting to know more about this gorgeous, magical woman who kept me captivated with her witchy and rock star ways. I always felt like she was the big sister I never had. A big sister rock star who was guiding me in my witchy ways as the years went on.

No one in life is perfect, and this book shows that Fiona is imperfectly perfect. She is open and honest, raw and blunt. She holds nothing back, and readers will develop an admiration and respect beyond any level.

It has everything in, including her exciting, hilarious, and sometimes awkward encounters with the likes of Kiss, Tom Jones, a!omg others.

She never once tries to portray herself as someone who thinks she is above anyone, she is down to earth, loving, full of grace even innher toughest moments in life. Reading this will inspire you, make you self reflect and want to know more.

Back in my 20's following Fiona's career I so badly wanted to be her, this book showed me that I am her, and she's me. Equally goddesses that are struggling, thriving, failing, flourishing and some days just barely hanging on to our broomsticks but dammit we are not giving up.

Read this book! If you have never heard of her it doesn't matter! Because this book will inspire you and entertain you. A great read about a great woman.

If you are, or have been, a fan of Fiona Horne. This book will help fill in the gaps of what she has been doing since moving to the USA. Sometimes heartbreaking (want to give her a very big hug) but ultimately uplifting. Great example of how interesting life can get when the only way left is up.

If one could time travel you would embrace a fourteen year old Fiona Horne and tell her that life was going to turn out just fine. Horne writes from the heart with such candour about her life that reading her biography feels like your best friend sharing her inner most secrets with you.
Surviving dark periods, Horne has risen like a Phoenix from these ashes of her youth and has reinvented herself as a Goddess with a mission. Highly recommended.

Ever wondered how hard it is to fit in when you are an individual thinker? The story begins set against the backdrop of suburban Sydney during the '80's as Fiona retells of her difficult upbringing . We commiserate with her as she faces hurdles amidst the antiquated education system and feel wonderment as she gains credibility whilst striving for success both within the music industry and as a prolific writer on Witchcraft. As the story nears the end, we are left with hope and joy as we understand what makes her tick. Come on the journey with Fiona and as you do, you'll realise that parts of her story are also our own. Inspirational!!

I was so moved by Fiona's profound honesty regarding her struggles with alcohol dependency and the disparity between her public persona and inner turmoil and self-doubt.

So much of what was described rang extremely loud bells for me.

As a long-time Def FX fan and admirer of Fiona's (I still remember seeing them for the first time at a lunchtime gig at Sydney Uni's Manning Bar in 1995!), I was astonished, at first, to learn of such deep-seated insecurity and need to please in someone with such a powerful and inspiring public image and presence.

But then, as I read on and those bells started ringing, I realised that it's not astonishing at all. It's all-too-familiar.

Fiona's story has inspired me to make choices for myself based on self-compassion, self-care, self-forgiveness and self-love, for my family, and for myself. As Fiona herself wrote, I want to be "better".
