I have paid a lot for ingredients to cook recipes from this cookbook that have been a failure to then google the same recipe to find the measurements are wrong. Very disappointing.

The prologue is solid, scientific and easy to read. The recipes are great and easy to follow, I used one of them for recent visitors who loved the dish. A great lifestyle book, well written and beautifully illustrated.

I use this book in conjunction with the first Mediterranean diet cookbook. Recipes are easy to follow and make, as well as being healthy, delicious and filling. Did I add ingredients are readily available. Yum!

I bought this book because I loved the first version so much, but was disappointed to find that it is quite different. The attraction of the first book was that it made it clear you could easily eat a healthy, Mediterranean style diet without too much fuss or expense. There was a focus on everyday food items such as beans, tomatoes and spinach. The recipes in this book have a heavier reliance on fancier ingredients, such as pomegranate seeds, making the food slightly more exclusive and expensive. If I want food like that, I'll cook from the Ottolenghi range. I feel that this book has lost its point of difference.
