Bilby misses his friend Mother Bird, so the stopwatch takes Tom and Bilby to the Land of Leevan to cheer him up. They soon discover a kind family of Beeres and Tom joins them on their quest to find an adventure. But when they stumble onto another human visitor, the joyful land is in danger. About the Author
Ambelin Kwaymullina Born in 1975, Ambelin is both a writer and illustrator. She works as a lecturer in the Law School at the University of Western Australia. Ambelin s picture book, "The Crow and the Waterhole", was shortlisted for the 2008 Crichton Award and was a Children s Book Council of Australia Notable Book. Blaze Kwaymullina Blaze was born in 1978. He works as a lecturer in the School of Indigenous Studies at the University of Western Australia. Blaze also enjoys working in the area of oral history and helping people get their stories told. He is a keen rock climber. Ezekiel Kwaymullina Ezekiel was born in 1983 and works full time on his writing. Currently he is writing a young adult fantasy novel. Ezekiel loves sports and Japanese animation. Together with Ambelin, Ezekiel wrote "The Two-Hearted Numbat", which was also a Children s Book Council of Australia Notable Book. Sally Morgan Sally Morgan is both a writer and a visual artist. Sally loves animals and is passionate about the Australian bush. Sally has written books for both children and adults. Her autobiography, My Place, is an Australian classic. It has been published in a special children s edition called Sally s Story. Together with her adult children, Sally wrote the Stopwatch series as well as several picture books, including Curly and the Fent, Curly Saves Grandma s House, Sam s Bush Journey and Me and My Dad. Sally is a respected visual artist whose work has won international acclaim. She is represented in galleries in Australia, US and elsewhere. Ambelin, Blaze, Ezekiel and Sally are descendants of the Palkyu people of the Pilbara region of northwest Western Australia.
