Now that the vampire Victorica Bloodrain has given Mary a bead on elven magus smith Shelly's whereabouts, it's looking like her journey to take off Lady Rain's tiara is reaching its end. With her friends and Victorica in tow, Mary heads for the elf village to meet Shelly and get her help undoing the fairy's mischief...but are things ever so easy? It turns out Victorica is, unbeknownst to her, a longstanding enemy of the village! Meanwhile, once the gang meets Shelly, she reveals the tiara won't be coming off for at least another decade—that is, unless Reifus is willing to risk losing his soul negotiating with the fairies dwelling in his tiara!
