Cecilia Fitzpatrick, devoted mother, successful Tupperware business owner and efficient P&C President, has found a letter from her husband.
"For my wife, Cecilia Fitzpatrick, to be opened only in the event of my death"
But Cecilia's husband isn't dead, he's on a business trip. And when she questions him about it on the phone, Cecilia senses something she hasn't experienced before. John-Paul is lying.
What happens next changes Cecilia's formerly blissful suburban existence forever, and the consequences will be life-changing for the most unexpected people.
Good holiday reading
As usual, this is a fantastic novel by Liane Moriarty. She is a master of character and plot development, keeping the reader engaged to the very end.
This was the first of Lianes books I read and I was very pleased
I really enjoy this style of writing it keeps you interested for the whole book.
Laine Moriarty is one of my favorite authors - I love all her books. Twists and turns in the plot.
I really enjoyed this book, particularly the relatability of the characters. I am now looking forward to reading other books by this author
This book had me hooked, start to finish. I love the way the author told the story from multiple points of view, it's so interesting to see how the characters not only interact but what they actually think of each other and what is going on behind the smiles and pleasantries. Being based in an area I know well also helped me relate to the characters, as well as them being seemingly average, suburban Australians, though as the pages turn all is not as well as it seems! The plot was engaging and developed naturally, fantastic writing. I couldn't put this book down, I ended up reading cover to cover within a day, it was that good!
I couldn't put this down, was definitely a page turner. The characters are engaging, easy to read and well written. Love this Authors books.
Bought as quick read while I looked for a book I really wanted but soon found I couldn't put it down and was in need of another book much sooner! Great story and characters, am now reading more of the authors others.
I struggled with some of the concepts, but nevertheless enjoyed reading the book. Food for thought.
