Using colourful cartoons, humorous illustrations, and an easy-to-read approach, The Human Body in Health and Illness, 5th Edition makes it fun to learn anatomy & physiology. Step-by-step explanations, clever features, and clinical examples simplify A&P concepts and relate A&P to the real world.
Organized by body system, this book shows how each organ is structurally designed to perform specific physiological tasks while demonstrating what happens to the body when a system does not function properly. Written by well-known author and educator Barbara Herlihy, The Human Body in Health and Illness makes A&P concepts easy to understand even if you have a limited background in the sciences.

I am currently studying Enrolled Nursing division II (endorsed) this book completely help myself pass the anatomy and physiology exam with flying colours. and even though that part of the exam has finish i keep referring to it during majority of my course.
Definitely recommended for people studying and or just simply interested in how the body works. and easy read.
This is my A&P Bible - enough depth to be taken seriously but not too involved to explode my brain - depth without drowning. Good background information that I can then supplement with online references for more detail. Complete with chapter summaries and review quizzes.
Great for diploma of enrolled nursing students! The book is in the same order as the course and is set out with large heading and a lot of highlighted words that are easy too quickly find
