Useful as a historical/research tool, without having to delve into old editions of newspapers and other material relevant to the time of the events referred to. Interesting insight into some of the political figures of the day, especially Al. Grasby, who, much as I have long suspected, isn't portrayed as smelling like a bunch of roses, rather, as having the odious smell of foul, rotting fish. Having long known Terry Jones, I was interested to learn of his involvement with many of the characters involved in the rather appalling goings on in Griffith and the shenanigans of both the police and politicians of that era. Very interesting insight into how many were involved and how they reacted/performed, or were, finally, forced , at least, to take steps to deal with some of the issues, not that I imagine, for one moment, some of these things, or those allied to them, aren't still occurring, both in Griffith and across Australia.
