Jim Bishop, author of The Day Christ Died, renews the sense of awe and wonder we experience at Christmas as he vividly chronicles the events leading up to the birth of Christ. Relive the journey to Bethlehem, the first Christmas night, the visits of the shepherds and Magi, the flight into Egypt, and the quiet, joyous return. All are recalled in the framework of a gripping, ever-unfolding narrative that is biblically accurate, yet filled with rich, dramatic detail.

Using the same skill exhibited in his previous book about Good Friday (The Day Christ Died), Bishop's book is a reverential reconstruction of the people, places, institutions, and events associated with the first Christmas.
