The book is very helpful overall. It has got the lot. Chapter on Health Challenges is simply outstanding. The "How a Diet Works" chapter is informative and simple for all to understand. Meal Plans and Exercise Plan are really easy to follow and the Recipes are very creative. Top plan for anybody watching their health and hence their dietary needs.

If you're looking to follow a very low carb high fat (VLHCF) way of eating then this isn't the book for you. It recommends low fat yoghurt and the only added fat component is Olive Oil, none of the other healthy fats recommended for VLCHF are included in the recipes in this book. Very disappointed in what I thought would be a change in attitude due to the current research out there on the way we eat.
I give it one star reluctantly only because I have to give it something to put up a review.

                      I expected a proper nutritional breakdown, like every other book, in grams of protein etc, instead I get some mumbo jumbo measure called units, what's a unit? Not defined in the index, so I can't transpose these recipes easily into any meal tracking app like MyNetDiary etc, pretty useless, I don't know what I'm eating. The pie charts that compare different diet types are just colours, no indication of actual values, so I can see diet 1 is a bit different from diet 2, but how different? And the recipes are mostly for 4 people, but their meal plans never repeat a recipe in a week so I hope you are cooking for 4... I doubt I will ever open this book again

                        Very informative, but I found the recipes had far too many ingredients, which made them very expensive.
                        I will have to halve any recipes that I use as not all people in the house want to eat low carb meals and pick which recipes to use as this diet is not budget friendly. Most probably this book will be handy as a reference guide to low carb meals and not as a complete diet.
