Superb wordcraft

A superb volume by our master Poet that exceeds even the highest word craft already practised by the Poet. This book showcases Murray's wide range of observations and experiences both good and bad across the gamut of his life. I doubt that apart from the peerless and late Judith Wright that there is a more finer Poet in Australia and across English generally. An ideal volume to be gifted to the non poetry reader too. This is a book I shall always cherish and would wish to have with me if ever stranded on a deserted island.

Australia's Voice

It's Australia's own poetry, Les Murray speaks to us and for us. Essential for the bookshelf of all reading Australians. An ideal gift for non-Australians too - it helps 'explain' us to them.
