Easy to follow, my 5 y.o enjoys the activities.

I work through the exercises with my 5 y.o everyday. The exercises are easy to follow and help introduce youngsters - The sounds that letters make. - Writing letters - Recognising letters - Reading As an example, the book teaches kids to recognise the letter 'm'.......understand it makes the 'mmmmm' sound, the letter 'a' and that it makes the 'aaaaaaa' sound and the letter 't' and that it makes the 'ttttt' sound. Through activities these are then joined progressively into 'ma' = 'mmmaaaaaa' sound and 'mat' = 'mmmaaaatttttt'. And before you know it, your kid can read 'mat', then 'cat', then 'mate', then 'late', then 'later'. Great book!

Great to teach reading at home. It's all laid out, you just follow the lesson plans and make progress. My child loves it, which was unexpected.

The answer to reading problems

Simply the best resource I could find more than 10 years ago to teach my struggling year two child to read. Absolute success and since I have recommended to numerous other parents, teachers and schools. A wonderful book!

an oldie but a goodie

We used this book to teach our pre-school children to read. Reading hasn't changed in that time so we believe it is just as relevant today.

Very happy with book, you can teach without being a teacher

Obviously a lot of time has gone into preparing this text book. Recommend it very handy.

A brilliant teaching aid

I cannot praise this book enough. I used it when I started home schooling my son and it was the best book I used for teaching him to read. It has since been used by friends of mine for their children and other friends of different nationalities learning to read English. I would recommend this book without hesitation.

You will get great results if you follow the instructions and put in the time and effort. I was amazed!!
