Suddenly Responsible is a light-hearted romp through the world of investing and finance, aimed at younger people starting their first jobs, or those who later in life, suddenly find themselves responsible for their own finances. Although it is based from an Australian perspective, the Money Beans Principles contained in the book apply anywhere.

It is not a get rich quick book, but does contain the right information to get you rich slowly, given sufficient time and the development of saving self-discipline, all of which is provided to you in the book.

Suddenly Responsible is written using easy to understand language and is a great guide for anyone who is unfamiliar with investing, superannuation and saving. Its claim to get the reader rich slowly is based on saving over a long term and the book provides the foundations for this.

The 12 Money Beans Rules are designed as a framework to making good investing decisions and contain such gems as "If it seems to be too good to be true, it is".

This easy-to-read book, uses humour, (admittedly Dad-jokes), facts combined with the experience of its author David Bay, a self-confessed share market devotee, and makes lots of recommendations thereby delivering his sometimes strong but well intended opinions to the reader.

It is a collection of ideas and opinions that are aimed as a guide to those just starting out, and those who later in life, find themselves having to start being responsible for their own finances.
