The bible of Australian editors

This book is a professional tool and a very useful one. It really helps writers understand how and why to edit work and ensure consistency in writing. So, while not a scintillating read, it is wonderfully helpful.

The Author/Editor/Designer's Bible

I am a designer-publisher and work with many self-publish clients. When I realised that there was a later version than my previous book, I had no hesitation in updating. Also passed on my previous version to one of my favoured clients (author and poet) and she is looking forward to using it. I have been using the Style Manual since 1996, and consider it my publishing Bible. Thanks to Booktopia, I did not have to wait long for the book to arrive. Now I just need a few hours to get used to the new layout.

This is a fundamental item on the bookshelf for every writer

As a professional writer, I am particular about the craft, and this is an essential reference for any writer. I have been following the Government Style Manual since it was a online document many years ago.

Useful!

I'm an Australian editor and I bought this for my own work and my workplace, it's informative and I've gone through the book and added tabs to all the relevant pages to my work (such as grammar and punctuation or editor's marks) and found this has lots of relevant information and some not-so (but I am not adverse to learning more each day). Highly recommended for Australian authors, editors or typesetters especially when we have different vocabulary and spelling rules compared to outside Aus.
