Lauren's pony, Twilight, is really a magical unicorn!

Most of the time, Twilight looks like an ordinary grey pony but when Lauren says the words of a spell he transforms into a magical unicorn and together they can fly all over the world . . .

Lauren's little brother, Max, has been having bad dreams about ghosts. Their friends at school all think that a treehouse in the woods nearby is haunted and won't go near. Lauren and Twilight, her secret unicorn, decide to investigate. Lauren is sure there's no such thing as ghosts - they're the stuff of fairy stories, aren't they? Just like elves and fairies and . . . unicorns?

The spooky noises from the wood make Lauren and Twilight very nervous but they face their fears together and eventually they reveal the 'ghosts' to be selfish boys from school who tricked everyone into leaving the treehouse for them alone to use as a den. Lauren and Twilight turn the tables on the boys with a magical surprise of their own . . .

Linda Chapman was born in 1969. Before before becoming a full-time writer in 1999, she had many jobs including being a teacher, stage manager, book-seller, university researcher and dog trainer. She has written over seventy books for children including the My Secret Unicorn, Stardust and Not Quite a Mermaid series. Linda lives in a village in Leicestershire with her family and two Bernese Mountain dogs. When she is not writing she spends her time looking afer her two young daughters, reading, putting on plays and horse riding.
