About the Author

Aleesah lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Her most favourite thing in all the world (besides chocolate!) is writing. She writes picture books, chapter books and novels for children in the contemporary, fantasy and non-fiction genres. Aleesah's story themes include courage, love, understanding, anti-bullying, self-belief, friendship and teamwork. She has won several awards for her writing and had numerous short stories, articles and book reviews published in anthologies, magazines and newspapers. When she's not writing, or running after her kids, Aleesah is usually travelling all around the place delivering talks and workshops at libraries, schools, bookstores, community groups, writers’ centres and at literary festivals. She has a real soft spot for animals and you'll find lots of them in her stories.
