About the Author

Adrian Laws has been involved in the construction industry in Australia for more than 35 years. He began his apprenticeship working on housing in the Newcastle area of New South Wales and worked as a contractor in Sydney and inland New South Wales before entering the Vocational Education and Training field of construction. Adrian has been involved in training for many years with TAFE NSW, while continuing to work in the industry erecting new housing and constructing renovations. During his time with TAFE NSW, he has coordinated the online delivery of post-trade training to distance education students and has used a range of technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of his students. Adrian wrote this book so that VET students could have a valuable, practical resource while they studied housing and construction.
