Very much a prequel

Fills in lots of missing info from the 1st book, but doesn't advance the story very much.

Shift clarifies some of the puzzles in Wool but leaves the reader eagerly awaiting the third book in this very gripping series.

A whole new meaning on Shift work!

Well worth reading straight after Wool. Cannot wait until the third book is out. I don't recommend reading this during breakfast before work or before you need to be somewhere - because you are going to be late!

Loved this book. Maybe not quite as much as "Wool" as a bit harder to follow but very good and clever how it tied up with the first book.I can't wait for the third. It made me want to reread "Wool" and then read "Shift" again as there is so much to take in.

More and more layers of the dystopian world are unveiled, enticingly paving the way for the sequel Dust..." * Sunday Express * "We have been mesmerised with Hugh Howey's silo stories since we first laid eyes on book one in the trilogy ... We'd recommend reading Wool first but you'll want to have this one ready as we guarantee you'll be unable to put it down. Perfect sunshine reading, wouldn't you say?" * Grazia Daily * "The anxiety, the claustrophobia and the lethargy he conjures are heartfelt and convincing." * Observer * "I simply couldn't put it down..." * Amazon.com reviewer * "This is an awesome read...another unputdownable book from Hugh Howey..." * Amazon.com reviewer *
