Comments about Share Investing for Dummies, 3rd Australian Edition:

I am just starting to learn about shares and how it all works when I saw this book recommended on an investor web site for beginners. I ordered the book and am still working my way thru, while the information is extensive and seems to cover everything well it is not something you will read and then put down. I keep reading a chapter then have a think or check things and go back and read it again to pick up the things i did not understand. The chapter just on the 'maths' of companies and shares and reading Profit and loss is extensive and for me it required careful review. The author does a great job with many retend and real examples and being thebook was written about 6 years ago many of his predictions have certainly come true thus giving him even better 'street cred'. At the same time at least one of the companies he discusses has also gone totally downhill so great lessons in the book too

Comments about Share Investing for Dummies, 3rd Australian Edition:

This book is great! Couldn't be more happy with it, I decided to buy this one after reading the second edition and the second edition was easier I might prefer it because of that :P

But this edition addresses a lot more important topics such as "Cruching the numbers" Which has different forumals for calculating different things. The book explains concepts really easily, I have read it twice, and I NEVER read books, it was that interesting.

Though I did feel sometimes there was a bit too much history in the book, but I think it's just trying to illustrate examples. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is new to investing.
