The complete guide to pregnancy, day-by-day

Fully updated to reflect the latest changes in medical practice, this new edition of the bestselling Pregnancy Day-by-Day provides comprehensive pregnancy advice from a team of experts. No other pregnancy book provides this level of detail, allied with such extraordinary photographs, 3D scans and illustrations which reveal in unprecedented clarity exactly what is happening to you and your baby every single day.

From early foetal development to how your hormones prepare you for birth, learn from world-class experts. Plus there's advice on your baby's development, medical matters, your changing body, diet, fitness and much more.

Pregnancy Day-by-Day includes a special hour-by-hour rundown of what to expect during and immediately after birth, plus further reassurance for the first two weeks of your baby's life, and will give a helping hand through the culmination of your pregnancy, from pain relief to those first intimate and unique moments between you and your child.

Pregnancy Day-by-Day has been carefully adapted from the UK edition with the help of Australian consultant obstetrician, Professor Jonathan Morris from the University of Sydney, and Specialist in Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal North Shore Hospital. He has updated and revised this edition to ensure it contains all the latest Australian research and recommendations in approaches to pregnancy.

Amazingly helpful and informative on all levels

I have loved having this book from the very beginning. It gives a very well structured presentation day-by-day of what pregnancy is really like. While not being all over the top obsessional/scary on things (eg. food, labor), it gives a very clear, realistic and practical picture of the pre, during and post pregnancy journey. Also fun and easy to read, with plenty of photos.

Best pregnancy book I've found to date

So much information! What to expect regarding changes to your body, your baby and loads of information. Each page includes specific boxes of information including: - Focus on... - Dad's to focus on... - Time to think about... - Specialist medical advice... - Ask a doctor... - Ask a mum... - As a matter of fact... - The lowdown... The section on labour is the best I've come across. It contains more information that even websites I've read. So much detailed information on options during labour and why medical staff may do or suggest what they do. Its great because its been adapted to be specific to Australia. It includes chapters on: - Natural pain relief - Drugs for pain relief - How labour progresses - Monitoring during labour - Positions during labour - Delivering your baby - After your baby is born - Premature birth - Breech baby - Multiple births - Assisted birth - Caesarean section - The first two weeks with your baby
