"The buggy-eyed insects, crabs, and snails provide an appealing cast of characters who stand up to be counted against a summertime palette of orange sand and blue skies." - KIRKUS REVIEWS

If one is a snail and two is a person, we must be counting by feet Just follow the sign to the beach, where a bunch of fun-loving crabs, lounging dogs, gleeful insects, and bewildered-looking snails obligingly offer their feet for counting in a number of silly, surprising combinations - from one to one hundred

Comments about One is a Snail, Ten is a Crab:

AS SOON AS IT ARRIVED, OUR 4YEAR OLD GRAND DAUGHTER WANTED IT READ TO HER & THEN TOOK IT TO PRESCHOOL, WHERE IT WAS ALSO READ.
MY SON WILL READ IT TO HIS DAUGHTER AS IT IS RELEVANT.

MY TEACHER SON WILL USE IT FOR HIS STRUGGLING YEAR 6 STUDENTS BUT I IMAGINE WILL DISCUSS ARTWORK * GENERAL PRESENTATION WITH THE ENTIRE CLASS.

MY FRIEND, A TEACHER OF SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN WILL USE IT FOR BASIC CONCEPTS AS WELL AS DISCUSSING TH ESTORY & ARTWORK.

Comments about One is a Snail, Ten is a Crab:

It's a little too old for our two year old.
Kids who are learning to count, add and multiply will get more out of it.
