From passionate home cook to Australia's most popular food blogger, Lorraine Elliott has her cake and eats it too – and she's never been happier.
Lorraine Elliott has long been a food enthusiast who believes cakes belong in an art gallery. Not so long ago she decided to ditch her day job as a highly-paid media strategist to follow her passions and become a full-time flogger (foodie + blogger). Her fabulous food blog Not Quite Nigella is now the go-to cyber destination for hundreds of thousands of foodies from around the world.
Not Quite Nigella, the book, is the story behind this journey. It contains the key to baking perfect macarons, the secret to winning a man's heart through food, tips on hosting unforgettable dinner parties and a how-to guide to creating a successful blog.
More than a celebration of food, Not Quite Nigella is chick lit come true - the inspiring and delightful story of a woman who finds the courage to follow her dreams.

I thought it was going to be a collection of recipes and not a biography - perhaps that was my fault for not looking more into the book before buying.
Lorraine Elliott has a very special talent for engaging the reader, whether it be by feeling that they are by her side while she devours the yummiest cupcake in the world or along for the ride on a one-night, mad dash to six different restaurants in suburban Sydney on a quest to find the tastiest Peking duck! This book is a fine complement to Lorraine's daily blog, Not Quite Nigella. If you love food and travel served with some interesting anecdotes, you will love the exploits of our own Domestic Bloggess!
