An evocatively personal travel guide to one of Italy's most glorious regions, from an Australian who lived and loved it for 18 years. – Australian Gourmet Traveller

My Amalfi Coast is a loving memoir of the place Amanda called home for so many years, and a guide packed with insider's tips on where to eat, stay, shop and visit. Amanda takes us to the very heart of a region where the splendour of the scenery is more than matched by the warmth and charm of the people.

Along the way we are invited to share Amanda's own story: the holiday that led to a love affair, which in turn inspired her to trade a glamorous fashion career in Florence for bare feet, a bikini and a beautiful man in the jewel-like town of Positano. We follow Amanda as she becomes a mother, business owner, and bona fide local, before finally making the decision to return to Australia.

Beautifully photographed by Carla Coulson, My Amalfi Coast is a warm and intimate account of one of the world's most spectacular coastal regions, and of a culture that knows how to appreciate the things that truly matter in life.

About the Author

Amanda, daughter of Australian fashion icon Maggie Tabberer, forged her own career as a fashion writer, working in Milan for Conde Nast, before moving to Positano. Soon she established her own line of designer wear, which she continues to sell through various outlets in Italy. My Amalfi Coast is her first book.

      Comments about My Amalfi Coast:

I had wanted to buy this book for a long time because (a) I had lived in that area of Italy when I was younger (b) I knew Amanda Tabberer had produced this book and had an inkling it'd be great (c) I knew the work of the photographer involved...another Australian, Carla Coulson.
A friend gave me a book token as a gift so I immediately used it to buy (treat purchase) this wonderful book.
Page after page of wonderful photos plus the marvellous personal threads from Amanda made this a delight to turn every page of.
It's not just another photo journalism book.It involves real people, real life, love, fun, architecture and food.
If you're interested in getting a realistic snapshot of an area and it's people offered to you by someone who put her soul into this book...you need to buy it and be prepared to return to its pages more than once - and you will.
It's worth buying for the cover photo alone which shows pure joy captured.
