Based on the life of Paul Gauguin, "The Moon and Sixpence" is the story of Charles Strickland, an English banker who walks away from a life of privilege to pursue his passion to become a painter. Strickland leaves London for Paris and ultimately Tahiti. "The Moon and Sixpence" is the story of the demands that can be placed on a tortured artistic soul and the lives that it touches.

WRITE A REVIEW

I wouldn't buy this edition

1

This book may be good, but I've not got past the first chapter. The layout of this edition is terrible! The writing is tiny, the reference notes are in the middle of the page, randomly. It is cheap cheap cheap! If you do want to read this, chose another edition.
