Get ready to immerse yourself in the opulent, exciting world of Australia's leading lady detective Phryne Fisher (Essie Davis) in Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: The Complete Series 1-3 Collection.

Phryne is a glamorous and thoroughly modern woman of the 1920's. Our lady sleuth sashays through the back lanes and jazz clubs of Melbourne, fighting injustice with her pearl handled pistol and her dagger sharp wit. Leaving a trail of admirers in her wake, our heroine makes sure she enjoys every moment of her lucky life.

The second series of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries builds on the meticulously constructed world of series one as it follows the independent, glamorous and unflappable leading lady detective Phryne Fisher. This lush take on the traditional crime drama explores the fascinating and varied subcultures of 1920's between-the-wars Melbourne. From the shadowy lanes of the city to the halls of academia, from high-class brothels to haute couture, Phryne defends the innocent and juggles admirers with her usual panache, all the while keeping up her delicious dance around Detective Jack Robinson (Nathan Page).

In series three of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, the highly stylish Miss Phryne Fisher continues her foray through the colourful underworld of 1920's Melbourne, solving crimes and turning heads. In this series, Phryne's investigations take her from fatal magic shows to illegal gambling dens and, as ever, she faces danger with her customary savoir faire and her pearl handled pistol at the ready! Working closely with Phryne once again is the charming Inspector Jack Robinson. It now seems there is nothing to stop Phryne from pursuing a romantic future with Jack... that is until her wayward father arrives and threatens to come between them.

Industry Reviews

'Just when you thought that all variations of the amateur-detective genre had been explored, along comes Miss Phryne Fisher, who sashays through the jazz clubs of late 1920s Ballarat, tackling villains with her pearl-handled pistol.' - David Brown, Radio Times

'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is one of those rare TV shows that not only follows through on its initial, delightful premise's promises, but manages to fill a pop culture void in the process.' - Katyl Burt, Den of Geek

'The entertainingly opulent whodunit series tells entertaining tails with a feminist flair. Phryne Fisher embodies the mythical freedom-loving flapper of the era, while exuding the energy the period is known for. Adding to the fun is the luxurious, art-deco backdrops, along with hints of romance and other personal entanglements that weave in and out episodes.' - Common Sense Media

'Like Miss Fisher herself, the series should leave a long trail of admirers in its wake.' - Graeme Blundell, The Australian

'It’s a total hoot, no matter how grim the subject, but Miss Fisher’s joy for life isn’t so much a denial of the darkness that surrounds her as a refusal to succumb to its call - an angle that manages to give the show a subtlety and strength that simmers beneath its episodic surface. Her blend of passion and effervescence is equal parts feathers and flint, bourbon and champagne.' - Allison Shoemaker, AV Club
