The moment they saw each other, Bean and Ivy knew they wouldn't be
friends. But when Bean plays a joke on her sister, Nancy, and has to
hide quick Ivy comes to the rescue, proving that sometimes the best of
friends are people never meant to like each other. Vibrant characters
and lots of humor make this a charming and addictive introduction to
Ivy and Bean.
About The Author
Best known as the author of the award-winning children's series Ivy and Bean, Annie Barrows also collaborated with her aunt, the late Mary Ann Shaffer, on the epistolary novel The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
These characters are great fun. I usually read these books to my 6 and 8 yr olds and we're often laughing out loud together at the antics of the two main characters. My 8yr old is now reading these on her own. I recommend these to friends as they're highly engaging and fun to read as a parent too. They're now my "go to" gift for birthdays.
My niece just adores this series, every time I have to go to a little girls birthday party I have to put this in the gift!
Really enjoyed story but was bit young for me
BARNES & NOBLE REVIEW
"Annie Barrows accomplishes the almost impossible task of reflecting the world of second grader, creating the tension and drama of family and friendships in language that can be read easily by child who recently graduated from easy readers to early chapter books.
