About the Author

Dr Nick Fuller is a leading obesity researcher in Australia and has been running the clinical research program at the Boden Institute, Charles Perkins Centre in the University of Sydney for the past decade. He has helped hundreds of people on their weight-loss and lifestyle journeys and investigated a broad range of topics including dietary and exercise programs, appetite hormones, commercial programs, complementary and conventional medicines, medical devices, and weight-loss surgery.

He completed his doctorate on the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of different obesity weight-loss treatments, and has also completed degrees in exercise physiology and nutrition and dietetics.


Really worth reading!


I have heard Dr Fuller on Alan Jones' radio show a few times recently and thankfully I went and bought this book as a result. It's refreshing that there is a no nonsense approach to weight loss. The principles in this book are simple yet iv been getting weight loss wrong my whole life because of so many 'dieting' myths. Good meals and advice, simple to follow. 100% recommend this book!


Simple weight loss


I bought this book in August in hope that will help me shift some of my excess weight and I'm pleased to say that I have lost 6 kilos in that time and I'm confident that I will lose a lot more. The concept is a sensible solution that is easy to follow and sustainable. I know have a new lease on life and feel more confident than I have felt in years.

I would recommend investing in seeing a dietician then purchasing this book. I found that it lacked a lot of information and I feel as though I only brought it due to all the hype.

This book is written in a clear and engaging manner. Furthermore, the diet works! My only criticism is that the author doesn't make it clear what to eat during the alternative maintenance months. Perhaps this could be remedied in another edition.

A Bit Disappointing


This is an interesting new approach to weight loss but it lacked detailed dietary information and guidance. The book is padded out with unoriginal lifestyle advice and uninspiring recipes. I was disappointed especially as the author is a qualified professional.
