Stunning, colourful and delicate illustrations which entertain but also inform with bee facts and why there is a bee emergency. The juxtaposing of the Queen Bee and the Big Queen who looks like Queen Elizabeth 11 provides interesting dialogue. A Prince Charles look- alike can also be found in the pages, as part of the good humoured satire. But there's a serious eco-scientific aspect to this beautiful picture book. An excellent discussion starter on the vital role of bees, pollen and honey and the threat to them and us. Stop using poisons. Or bees will die and there will be no food, for any of us. Highly suitable book to share between an adult and child or give as a family gift. Our favourite was the page with the Queen wearing a range of Bee protest badges, for The Buzz Radio News. And I loved the intricate teapot for tea with toast and honey.
