I had heard about this book for years and finally got around to buying it - now i wish I had bought it all those years ago with my son now 17. But based on my sons age, I have to say it is right on the money with regard to how the majority of boys (and men) tick. The author has a lot of hands on working experience and relays this is a no holds barred account of why boys do the things they do, and frustrate the parents that love them so dearly from a woman's perspective. Its also helped me understand my husband a bit more too. It provides some funny laugh out loud conversations and statements made by the boys she interviewed as well. the only other thing I can say is that having been researched in NZ, I tend to think the boys there are a bit more grown up and experience things a little earlier than here in Australia...or am I just being a bit naive? Either way, great read for anyone with sons.
