In a family of magical treasure hunters, luckless Maddie Lane is the second-born and therefore doomed, like her mother before her, to a dull life of safe, boring jobs, expected to stay home and raise the next generation, while her elder sister inherits the magic and adventure of the family business. But Maddie has more history than anyone realised: someone has been waiting nearly 900 years for her to arrive. A seemingly chance gift grants Maddie access to a world even her experienced ancestors were unaware of, and suddenly it is Maddie who is set on the adventure of a lifetime as she becomes embroiled in a quest to save two planets.

Madison Lane is about to be Grounded. And it's much more fun, adventure, and danger than she could have wished for.

Industry Reviews

"An amazing book. It kept me on the edge of my seat. It was edited well, and Ms. Neal's writing style was fun and realistic. I got lost in the story as I read it. There are just enough fantasy elements in it, mixed with the realistic elements, to make you wonder if such a world could exist." Erik Weibel, This Kid Reviews Books

"A story that sweeps you along like a ride on a magic carpet." Deborah Turner Harris, author of Caledon of the Mists

"A delightful story that transcends age. I liked the spunky heroine and enjoyed sharing her adventures." Maryann Miller, author of Boxes for Beds and Evelyn Evolving

"A faced paced action adventure that showcases strong female characters and models good relationships, compassion and teamwork. Can't wait for the next one!" Ninja Nicole, Goodreads review

"Well-written, excellent prose, and promising characters...A Mary Poppins aunt with a time travelling umbrella? What's not to love?" Jefferson Smith, Your Word's Worth
