This new edition draws on a range of literary, information and persuasive texts to demonstrate how teaching about grammar and meaning contributes to the weaving together of the three strands of the Australian Curriculum: English (Language, Literature and Literacy).
This textbook is excellent for increasing personal literacy and has been an invaluable resource for my education studies.
I would highly recommend reading this text for gaining personal literacy.

This publication extended the examples in The New Grammar Companion for Teachers by Beverly Derewianka. It clarified some of the gaps in her sometimes confusing examples and was more clearly set out, easily read etc. This was a very helpful textbook and will remain a go to book for many years.
