In The Gonzo Way, Anita Thompson explores the legacy of her late husband and shares insights from his unique approach to writing, politics, and life. She pays tribute to him through her own words and through interviews with those who knew him best, including. Tom Wolfe, George McGovern, and Douglas Brinkley. With elegant prose and entertaining anecdotes, she reveals a Hunter S. Thompson who was much more than a mere embodiment of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. << AUTHOR: Anita Thompson began working as Hnuter's assistant in 1999, photocopying and doing bits of research. In 2000, she moved in and three years later they were married. Today she is the publisher of a magazine called The Woody Creeker and is also publishing a book of Hunter's wisdom and helping to edit Hunter's book Polo is My Life. She continues to work in Hunter's stead and lives on Owl Farm in the little town of Woody Creek outside of Aspen, Colorado. She is currently attending Columbia University in New York.
