A big fan of SEP I was really hoping for another great story from her. Whilst I did get an okay story, I didn't love it, like I love all the other books from this author. This book I believe is one of her very early books published and was re-printed recently. It simply didn't have the same formula that make all her recent books so enjoyable. In fact It took half the book to even get to the main characters and their romance. Meaning, the first half of the book was a back story of the female leads family. Whilst it was important for the books story,I felt it could have been delivered in flashbacks through the main characters chapters, rather then me still reading about characters not even mentioned on the bookcover at page 135. By the time it actually got to the characters names mentioned on the back cover, their story literaly had 100 pages to bloom and grow to a point of happy ending. Whilst I wouldn't say don't read this book, just be aware that SEP normal, humor filled and sassy style isn't here as opposed to what I've come to know her to be able to write. It was kind of a little depressing to be realistic. On the upside, you did get to meet Meg Koranda's parents in detail and they do show up in future books by SEP.
