Simoney Girard has always been interested in all things culinary (her Canadian grandparents used to own a restaurant and started up the family cookbook) and was always encouraged to be let loose in her mum's kitchen. Her experience as an award-winning personal finance journalist has helped her understand where one can make savings without giving up the good life. Simoney has worked on many publications including Planned Savings, Financial Times newspaper Investment Adviser, the Daily Telegraph, Money Marketing, The Daily Mail (City Desk), Times Money, and the Securities & Investment Review.

Not very interesting visually

    I was very disappointed with this book. Most food books contain colourful pictures since the attraction of food is visual as well as tasteful. This book is very disorganised, grey page after grey dull page. I stopped reading it after the first chapter and donated it to a charity shop.
