Product Description

This is the only money guide you’ll ever need.

That’s a bold claim, given there are already thousands of finance books on the shelves.

So what makes this one different?

Well, you won’t be overwhelmed with a bunch of ‘tips’ … or a strict budget (that you won’t follow).

You’ll get a step-by-step formula: open this account, then do this; call this person, and say this; invest money here, and not there. All with a glass of wine in your hand.

This book will show you how to create an entire financial plan that is so simple you can sketch it on the back of a serviette … and you’ll be able to manage your money in 10 minutes a week.

You’ll also get the skinny on:

• Saving up a six-figure house deposit in 20 months

• Doubling your income using the ‘Trapeze Strategy’

• Saving $77,641 and wipe almost seven years off your mortgage

• Finding a financial advisor who won’t rip you off

• Handing your kids (or grandkids) a $140,000 cheque on their 21st birthday

• Why you don’t need $1 million to retire … with the ‘Donald Bradman Retirement Strategy’.

Sound too good to be true? It’s not.

This book is full of stories from everyday Aussies — single people, young families, empty nesters, retirees — who have applied the simple steps in this book and achieved amazing, life-changing results.

And you’re next.

Most images from the book did not display in the booktopia viewer. These were fairly important and I could not understand what the author was saying because I could not view them.
Also the reader got stuck on some pages and I could not move forward.
I was quite frustrated with the reading experience.

The Barefoot Investor has become the financial bible and admittedly, that put me off reading it for a while. Once I eventually got around to starting, I couldn't put it down. I can see why it's so popular. Scott is able to explain the steps to achieving financial freedom in a simple, yet clever, way. Not a short term, get rich plan like I thought it was before reading it. Loved it and learned heaps. As a personal preference, I didn't prefer it in Ebook format. I ended up buying the actual book and it's a lot easier to read and highlight bits I wanted to remember.

I wish I'd read this book years ago. It would have saved me a lot of money and a lot of heartache! It's really easy to read and is full of funny anecdotes. It is really holistic and gives you some wonderful tips on what you should implement in your life and in your families life.

The Booktopia book reader that you have to install as an app for the online version is hopeless. Lots of missing pages, hard to follow, i really got lost where i was in the book. I contacted Booktopia who said there was blank pages in the original version (i guess to write notes), but i would scroll through 20 blank pages and then come to a page that didn't seem to match up. It didnt help that book pages seemed to sometimes be in the middle of the page on my ipad. Anyway, buy the hard cover version and steer clear of Booktopia and its usless app.

Bought this as an E-book and now intend on buying the paperback version. This is extremely well written. Scott is witty and matter of fact, and sets out in easy to follow instructions of what to do, how to do it, and in some scenarios what to say to get what you want and need. Once I got started on this book I couldn't put it down and look forward to implementing his tips and managing my money better.

We have tested and inspected the eBook file for The Barefoot Investor and compared it to the physical copy and confirm that there is no content missing from the eBook. The physical book also has these blank pages but, depending on the size settings of your text, it can change the appearance of the book on your device to seem like there are many more blank pages than there actually is.

To increase or decrease the font size of a book, open the eBook on your device then tap the screen once to bring up the menu. Once you’ve done this, click Settings (this should look like a cogwheel on IOS).
